A Taxonomy of Security Threats and Solutions for RFID Systems
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a method of wireless data collection technology that uses RFID tags or transponders to electronically store and retrieve data. RFID tags are quickly replacing barcodes as the “identification system of choice” [1]. Since RFID devices are electronic devices, they can be hacked into by an outsider, and their data can be accessed or modified without the user knowing. New threats to RFID-enabled systems are always on the horizon. A systematic classification should be used to categorize these threats to help reduce confusion. This paper will look at the problem of security threats towards RFID systems, and provide a taxonomy for these threats
E-Transcript Web Services System Supporting Dynamic Conversion Between XML and EDI
As XML becomes a standard for communications between distributed heterogeneous machines, many schools plan to implement Web Services systems using the XML e-transcript (electronic transcript) standard. We propose a framework that supports both XML e-transcript Web Services and existing EDI e-transcript systems. The framework uses the workflow engine to exploit the benefits of workflow management mechanisms. The workflow engine manages the e-transcript business process by enacting and completing the tasks and sub-processes within the main business process. We implemented the proposed framework by using various open source projects including Java, Eclipse, and Apache Software Foundation’s Web Services projects. Compared with traditional EDI systems, our proposed system was evaluated to have higher reusability and scalability and save developers time and cost. It also provides users with rich look and feel user interfaces

Predictors of the Change in the Expression of Emotional Support within an Online Breast Cancer Support Group: A Longitudinal Study
OBJECTIVES: To explore how the expression of emotional support in an online breast cancer support group changes over time, and what factors predict this pattern of change.
METHODS: We conducted growth curve modeling with data collected from 192 participants in an online breast cancer support group within the Comprehensive Health Enhancement Support System (CHESS) during a 24-week intervention period.
RESULTS: Individual expression of emotional support tends to increase over time for the first 12 weeks of the intervention, but then decrease slightly with time after that. In addition, we found that age, living situation, comfort level with computer and the Internet, coping strategies were important factors in predicting the changing pattern of expressing emotional support.
CONCLUSIONS: Expressing emotional support changed in a quadratic trajectory, with a range of factors predicting the changing pattern of expression.
PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: These results can provide important information for e-health researchers and physicians in determining the benefits individuals can gain from participation in should CMSS groups as the purpose of cancer treatment
Mapping Rules for ER to XML Using XML Schema
The Extensible Markup Language (XML) has emerged as a de facto standard language for exchanging data among disparate information systems. Since the majority of data in the world is stored in databases, the conversion of such data into XML documents is indispensable for real world usage. In this paper, we propose the algorithm for mapping the Entity Relationship model (ER model) to the XML document at the metadata level to address this conversion issue effectively. This is a progressive attempt to automatically generate the XML document from the conceptual database schema using the XML Schema. In this paper, we introduce a set of ER-to-XML mapping rules and then show the mapping algorithm based on these rules. We also introduce the XML Schema which forms the groundwork of this mapping algorith
Primary Intrapulmonary Thymoma Presenting as a Solitary Pulmonary Nodule
Primary intrapulmonary thymoma (PIT) is a very rare lesion of uncertain pathogenesis. PIT should be considered

Consumer use of publicly released hospital performance information: Assessment of the National Hospital Evaluation Program in Korea
Objective To assess the extent of consumer use of publicly released hospital performance information by the National Health Evaluation Program (HEP) in Korea.Design A questionnaire survey with 385 outpatients visiting four general hospitals in Seoul.Main outcome measures The consumer use of performance information was assessed by the consumers' intention to: (1) recommend hospitals with good performance reports, according to HEP, to their relatives; (2) switch to other hospitals with a better performance and (3) keep the performance report for future use. Results Overall, 52-75% of the respondents expressed their intention to use the hospital performance information. Logistic regression analysis results showed that people would use the performance information if they considered HEP to be effective in improving the quality of health care and the performance reports to be trustworthy and useful in choosing hospitals. Conclusion This study provides evidence that consumers in a health care system with few restrictions for provider choice, such as in Korea, have a high potential to utilize the provider performance information in their decision making. If public use of the performance information becomes common, policy makers should acknowledge the critical value of the quality of the performance report in order to avoid misleading consumers.Consumer health information Decision making Health care choices Quality of health care
Changes in Sleep Satisfaction of Korean Adolescents in the Pre- and Post-COVID-19 Eras and Its Effects on Health Behaviors
Adolescence is a crucial period for cognitive and psychological development and physical maturation. During this period, hormonally influenced circadian rhythms lead to reduced hours of sleep, and it is important to determine whether sleep quality is sufficient for fatigue relief. Non-face-to-face classes during coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) potentially affected adolescents’ sleep quality, psychological state, amount of physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption, and internet (smartphone) use. We investigated the effects of the COVID-19 situation on adolescents’ sleep satisfaction and its relation to the aforementioned factors. Data of 109,281 adolescents collected via an online survey, conducted from 3 June 2019 to 12 July 2019 and from 3 August 2020 to 13 November 2020, were analyzed. Health status comparison between the satisfactory and unsatisfactory sleep groups yielded significant results (odds ratio [OR] = 1.10, confidence interval [CI] = 1.04–1.17) for 2020. In both groups, perceived health was worse in 2019 than in 2020 (OR = 2.72, CI = 2.53–2.92). During COVID-19, non-face-to-face classes increased adolescents’ sleep satisfaction. Their psychological state improved, while amount of physical activity (muscle-strengthening exercises), average weight, and internet (smartphone) use increased. Smoking and alcohol consumption decreased
